planning and simulation of aesthetic optimizations for a radiant smile. This allows patients to see the expected result in advance and also gives them the opportunity to participate in the planning process.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Digital Smile Design<\/strong> procedure is especially for patients who want to improve the visible area of their dentition, which mainly concerns the front teeth. In addition, the holistic view of the symmetry and aesthetics of the face is still important. The newly designed teeth should finally harmonize with the untreated areas and also fulfill functional aspects. Therefore, even in the case of partial restorative treatments, images of the entire dentition, mouth area and face are taken and taken into account.<\/p>\n<p>Usually, after a successful counselling interview, an appointment is necessary to record the current situation, in which photos and videos as well as dental impressions are taken. One begins with a thorough evaluation of the existing facial aesthetics and facial symmetry. The dental and facial mid-lines, the relationship between dental aesthetics and facial aesthetics, the harmony and symmetry of the soft tissue are measured, digitally recorded and analysed. Phonetics, i.e. speech sounds, are also included. In contrast, the simulation of the new smile on the computer, the most exciting thing for the patient, only takes a few minutes. At this point, exact information about the duration of treatment is possible. Depending on the respective findings and the desired changes, dental implants, crowns and bridges can be used as restorations. An orthodontic intervention is not always necessary. If malpositions are to be corrected, there are different types of braces that lead to the desired result. Veneers and bleachings can also be part of the treatment. What is really used, \u00a0must be planned and discussed individually for each patient.<\/p>\n<p>Theoretically, any smile can be designed on the computer, but the actual implementation is always done under the aspects of functionality and harmony to the face.
